Unlock the code that opens the door to success, self-fulfillment, and unity
with the
universe. In this book, Ann Varkey reveals that what works in life also works in
business: loyalty and fairness, taking care of one’s own, sharing one’s gifts with
others, and above all, answering to a Higher Authority.
ANN VARKEY, a consistent top producer in the real estate market of SW Orlando and
Windermere, was born in India and came to New York City in 1970 and became a
naturalized US citizen. She worked as a registered nurse and received a
Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration and Community Health from
Saint Joseph’s College in New York. While pursuing a masters program, the family
relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1984.
This move paved the way for Ann to switch to a career that allowed her to spend
more time with her family and focus her devotion to a Christian way of life, which
is the linchpin of her business. Since 1988, she has successfully segued to a career
in real estates, earning top accolades in the industry, such as the Chairman’s Club
Award from RE/MAX Real Estate, and the loyalty and friendship of her clients.
Ann is married to a top executive in the educational publishing industry and together
they have raised three children: Susan, Stephen and Elizabeth. This book is written
from the inspiration she received from God and learning from other model parents,
cultural values, and principles from the Bible. Her motivation also came from reading
good books, listening regularly to various Christian radio and television programs,
motivational speakers, and pastors. |

Book Reviews
“Truly a book that would serve as a beacon of light and help guide others
who may
be searching for a deeper relationship with God. The result is "Knocking on My Father's
Door", the culmination of Ann's labor of love. You will not only find yourself relating to
Ann's personal experiences of marriage, career or raising children, you will hopefully
realize that your life has a higher purpose as well. If the book succeeds in opening you
heart and mind, then Ann's efforts would be well worth the journey she has taken to
write this book"

Hi Ann:
I have been wanting to share with you what a wonderful time I had reading your
book Knocking on My Father's Door. From the time I first laid hands on it and began
reading the first dozen pages I was overwhelmed with good feelings and a sense that
I have known you for a long time. This book should not have any difficulty attracting
the reader's interest and holding that interest until the very last paragraph. The
straightforward language and the multiple fronts in which you approach the subject
made me think hard about w hat I, on a personal level, could have done better in my
earlier years. Your book has many wonderful and emotional passages and I could not
help but read some of them several times. Also, reading your life and business
experience raised my awareness about the importance of communication, love,
respect, and discipline in developing lasting relationships.
Knocking on My Father's Door was truly a cathartic experience for me.
Thank You,
Clem Monge |

Dear Ann,
I want to thank you for sharing your life story in "Knocking on My Father's Door".
The book was very inspirational and provided so many good advices that can be
applied to everyone, no matter what their religion might be. You showed how your
love for family, fellow man, and especially God has carried you through some of
life 's most challenging times. There was one particular part of your life that
almost brought tears to my eyes and that was when you experienced the lost of
both your only sister and an older brother within a span of 3 months.
I wish you continued success and please don't ever stop helping others and spreading
your caring and uplifting stories.
God Bless,
Dr. T Nguyen |

Thank you, Ms. Ann, for being so brave and honest. Knocking on My Father’s
Door is well-written and engaging for those who daily attempt to practice the
Spiritual & Corporal Works of Mercy. Needless to say, we can not do "every good."
We can only do our own little part in whatever little area we are given. Or, at
the risk of sounding trite and in the Catholic tradition, light one candle in God’s
name for the sick and homeless. And, to be sure, contemplate on the greatest of
all his virtues–love.
I respect your Christian openness, and your evangelical sincerity as it relates
to your life in revealing your deepest spiritual wellsprings. Your story eloquently
expresses why the complete Christian journey, for you and your family, is the
glue to your collective happiness and success.
Your acknowledgment section to readers that you “hope and pray at least one
word…” will change someone who is in need, without question, has been granted
Any serious person looking for a primer on becoming a Disciple of Christ need only
digest your book, pluck the golden nuggets, and they will get a much clearer idea
on the possibilities of aspiring to live JC’s message everyday.
Your book is right on the mark for those folks who do not have the time to study
and comprehend the skill-set essentials required to live a holy and Christian
lifestyle. Through many examples, your plan is laid out beautifully. The
contents instruct, raise spirits and really get to the core, in my humble opinion,
of what living as a Christ follower is all about.
Like you, Ms. Ann, I pray and meditate steadily to live humbly. I was struck by
his quote many years ago, and ponder it often. I paraphrase: “There is but one
sadness in life, and that is for us not to become saints” by Bloy.
Karen and I both enjoyed reading your book. Thanks for sharing your deep felt
convictions.

This is Simmy , I hope all is well.
I just finished reading your book, "Knocking on My Father's Door," and I just wanted to say
that it was such an inspiration to me. I am so proud to see someone pouring out all the
wisdom they have received from God into the next generation and being such a great role
model.
Your book makes me want to write a book one day as well glorifying God in all he has
done for me and my family.
This book is a part of a legacy you will be leaving behind for your children and others one day
so thank you once again and I pray that God continues to bless you in all you do and that your
latter days will be greater!
In His Grace,
Simmy Samuel
"What an amazing book! This is truly a very inspirational book! It challenges us to be
God-centered in all we do. It appeals to our spiritual side and touches many aspects
of our lives, family, career, goals, and lifestyle. It can act as an everyday reminder
to live a life of love and generosity. Which then, in turn, can put us back on track
when we feel like we have lost our way.”
