distributed to economically challenged neighbors on November 20, 2008 by
Ann Varkey and Varkey Chacko, with the support of Chris Sapp with the Dr.
P. Phillips YMCA, Tangelo Park YMCA staff, and Sam's Club. A special thanks
to The Quinones Family, Dr. Francelis & Victor Gonzalez, Mathen, Shaila, and

Dr. & Mrs. McKeon, and Elizabeth Varkey.
2007
On December 21, 2007 the Varkey Family sponsored the Orlando Union
Rescue Mission’s annual Christmas Banquet for the homeless. It was a blessing
to join with friends in serving and making this luncheon a joyous
occasion.
Ever since I was very young, I have had the desire to
help people.
Even when I had only a little money, I started helping the unfortunate
in both India and America.
I have been so blessed. Since 1972, with the support of my wonderful
husband and family, I have been able to realize my dream in
helping others and now I am able to increase my efforts. In 1988
when I started real estate, I committed to giving a portion of my
commission from each closing to the less fortunate and to charitable
organizations.
Since 1998 I have financially supported many people afflicted
with leprosy. During this time, my family and I personally traveled
to India and visited some of the people that suffer from this debilitating
disease. I was fortunate enough to share this experience with
my family --- including my children and it was a life changing
experience for us all.
Through RE/MAX, a portion of my commission from each
closing is given to the Children's Miracle Network -
the alliance of premier hospitals for children - a non-profit
children's hospitals across North America. Each year these
non-profit hospitals provide the finest care, research and
community outreach to help millions of children with diseases
and injuries of every kind.

Through direct referrals from professional organizations
and church we have been able to assist the handicapped, sight
impaired, hearing impaired and cancer patients
I have participated in counseling inmates at the Osceola County
Jail through the Jail Ministry Program receiving awards for
two consecutive years 1990 - 1991.
we have been able to financially support churches in India to be able to
purchase books, umbrellas, blankets and food for the poor children in their
area.
Through many venues, we have sent monies to purchase thousands
of bibles for various cities/areas in India.
In 2003, started participating in the "Ones Day's Meals
Program" - one day worth of uncooked food distributed
to many in various parts of India.
My intention is to contribute to the unfortunate in the
United States and in many countries. I would love to share
more about the wonderful people that I have worked with and
have met over the years. If you feel that you would like
to become involved in any of these causes please contact me
and I will be happy to personally assist you in that mission.
For several years Ann has been a sponsor for The Children's Miracle Network.
